Being on vacation really helps with painting, who would have thought:)
I am still driven by the idea only to play with painted miniatures, at least in Infinity. As a friend remarked Even though you now again have a job? Yupp, actually especially because I have less time to paint, I try to insist on using only painted ones. Why? Think about it.
I am three models apart from a playable 300 points Yu jing army.
These three need finishing, then I am good.
My Lieutenant Crane and the Bicycle Queen and then the 300 point list is done. By now 2 of my original plans for Yu Jing went down the drain. 1. I wanted to try a different style of painting, well didn´t work out. 2. I wanted to buy and paint exactly one list and use it several times before buying new stuff. Also failed, beause I already have more miniatures than are on this list and I will get the Yu Jing of a friend soon. Well, maybe with the next army. I wanted to do Tohaa anyway, but lately a nice MRRF Force spooks around in my head…
Well some pictures.
My first finished miniature was this bad boy, simple scheme and first try at pigments (I still suck at it, but my Yu Jing now have to live through that)
My Tokusetsu, I went for a rather muted colour here with purpled black and dark red, offset by the greys and the beige that all weapons share in the army. By base and weapons I tie the army together, well that is the plan.
My Raiden, I love this Miniature as do I love the next one
No army should be without Ninjas, ever, Period.:)
I like the way the scheme works here (it also saved some workload so…)
Now my lovely Wolves (I really can´t wait to get the Huang Di list)
The muted colours work well, there will be enough whiteshly painted of them for Svalarheima anyway.
My CG Hacker. I am not really happy how the greys turned out, but as anybody else he suffers from my lack of time to apply as much time as I really want to painting. Did that make sense?
My monk, obviously. I quick painted her to finish a 150 point army (the CG Hacker will be a CG Lt) as today a friend comes over to test his USAriadna. As he has not yet more than the starter…
Here is the full army (none of the are varnished yet, due to cold weather)
And on this bord we will play.
Hopefully I get a report done today.
